HELP!!! Stuck at WOT!!!
Okay, here's the story. I had just finished washing my car and was cruising around trying to do a little air drying.
Anyway, I was leaving the stoplight and noticed my RPM's increasing rapidly. Popped it into neutral only to watch the needle get burried at 9,000 RPMs. I quickly shut it down after that and pulled over.
I opened up the hood to check out the throttle body and cable, it looked fine.
Tried to start it up again and instantly the car revs to 8k. I tried messing with stuff but ended up with the same results each time.
Sat back in the car and lifted up on the gas pedal, started it up and it was fine.
So I thought okay, cool, I leave from the side of the road and once I get past about 2.5k, bam, bitch starts revving out of control. I eventually had to push it home with a buddy.
Anyway, help. Sorry the story is so long.

Most likely the throttle body is sticking. Triple check it. Other then that, it "could" be a vacuum leak, but in your case it sounds like a sticky throttle body.
