Default sticky throttle body

lately when i start my car (especially early in the morning) the gas pedal seems stuck. i pooped the hood and my throttle body seems a little sticky. i've already cleaned it out and still it's the same thing. ireally am not sure on what to do, i would like to correct the problem before i force it and my cable pops.

Is it stuck close or stuck open?

Stuck close - Turn the stop a little to keep it from slamming itself stuck.

Stuck open - try loosening the throttle cable so it closes fully then do 1 turn out.

there's a little screw under the throttle body plate.. screw in some more so that it keeps the throttle plate a not so tightly gripped against the throttle body

well i actually went out and tried to fix it tho i didnt touch the adjusting screw that makes the TB stop. instead i adjusted the throttle cable a bit (since it was kinda lo0se too) and it worked. i went out for a drive and no sticky throttle for me anymore

fuel service and injector flush has nothing to do with this.
and my trottle body is cleaned, still problem persists.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread.

What size is the bolt for the Throttle adjustment screw? the one under neath the throttle.

thanks.

-Drew

P.S. when I went to clean it the inside seemed to have a oilyish black residue inside the intake maifold.

could i spray wd-40 to help loosen up the butterfly valve inside the throttle body?

yea, you can use carb cleaner...i would take the Intake manifold off and clean it real good..you can prob even use simple green...let it dry up and if the TB still gets stuck...yea, maybe try a bit of wd40..
