SHIFT LINKAGE------NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP HELP
Ok, does anyone know if the shift linkage out of DAs are the same as the 94 to 01 integra? help help help won't somebody help PLEASE LET ME KNOW
The shift linkage is improved on the 94 and up Integras (appears to be thicker) so the linkage from newer tegs are preferable to the 2nd gen linkage. I believe this to be true, but not 100%.
I know they are all interchangable, but have different part numbers for the 2nd Gen and the 3rd Gen and ITR. ITR linkage is coated and looks really nice, but don't know if the design is any different from the GSR linkage (maybe lighter).
The shifter itself changes from a single bend (2nd Gen) to a dual bend (3rd Gen up). ITR shifter has shorter throws like an aftermarket short shifter by increasing the distance between the ball and the linkage (I think) not 100% sure.
I believe this is all correct, I am sure someone will clean up my mess if it isn't.
I did some research long time ago because my 300K mile linkage is worn out at the hinge joint next to the bitch pin. So I have decide to upgrade to the newer 94 up style linkage some day, maybe at 325K miles, lol.
