How many of you guys have Automatic Ludes? and What can you do to compete with 5-speeds?
Yeah, People say I'm stupid for trying to build on a 5th Gen Sport Shift Lude. But, hey, I bought the car myself, and at the time, it was all I could afford. So, now that I've had the car for over a year, and put all the bolt-ons on it. I'm wondering if I should go through the agoniziing hassle of swapping the tranny or trying to make my car one bad-azz auto. Any suggesstions? What should I do?

no NOS, you dont need that. Get i/h/e/UR pullies/and a VAFC you will run mid to low 15's. I Ran 15.4 with that setup, but i have yet to run with my new goodies. I beat 5 spd ludes all day long now

no NOS, you dont need that. Get i/h/e/UR pullies/and a VAFC you will run mid to low 15's. I Ran 15.4 with that setup, but i have yet to run with my new goodies. I beat 5 spd ludes all day long now

if any automatic lude can beat me without NOS or Forced Induction i will give you props. But i seriously doubt there is one out there that can pull 14 second times.

I highly doubt that you can beat a 13 sec car. a guy in jersey with nos setup on evotuners putting down 13.4's with 75 shot.

One of the things you might be able to do is...get a shift kit by B&M or a company like that. I know B&M make an electronical shift kit for caveliers and malibus and such. That is supposed to help keep the tach up and shift at better points for racing.
It is also turned on by a switch in the cabin..Also take of your resonator and power steering belt. Those are some cheap horsepower freeing mods.

I've been beating myself over the head on why the hell I got an auto in the first place. It was a matter of convenience and cash at the time. From what I’ve read on the forum before, it would cheaper to just trade in your auto for a five speed. I’m going to do the trade for 2K if I can find a dealer who will go for it.

lets put it this way ive only lost to 1 5th gen 5spd, out of about 10 5spd's that ive raced.

why doesnt this say a lot? this guy is clowning auto ludes and saying not a single one can beat him, im saying one day he will be surprised by one that will stop his ***. I stating that ive lost to 1 manual prelude out of about 10 that ive ive raced!

That dont mean ****.cuz you aint losing to this lude. And plus if a modded lude cant pull 15.4 than he is a shitty *** driver. Anyone can beat a shitty driver, so thats nothing to be proud of.

man this is a USELESS and STUPID debate, its been done before...anyways, i wasnt trying to get onto one of these SS vs manual debates that go no where. The topic of this post WAS NOT directed towards manual prelude drivers. It was directed towards SS owners. No need for you to come in here and start usless ****. grow up
