Default SRS light on... will the Air bags still go off?

SRS light is on after I gave a jump start, has been on for like 2 years. Ya think the bags will still deploy?

No they won't. do a search and you will find the SRS reset procedure. It's pretty easy to do.
Although it would be nice to know what kind of mack truck you have

I conquer captain. Mine did as well. My honda tech told me I needed a new SRS Harness. Two years later, I slammed into a pile of bricks (literaly), and they went off...they both went off.

i will add a yes to this as well. i drove around in my 96 dx accord for about a year or two and i got into a frontal accident and mine still went off as it should. as of now, i ride around with my 91 accord with the srs light on. i ignore it. when i am driving at night, its funny to see other accords with the same problem and they ignore it as well.

SRS light on does not always mean no deployment. it all depends upon the fault that the system sees.

I think people get the idea because when the ABS light goes on the ABS system does not work, but it is not like your brakes themselves are not working, you could just lock your wheels up a lot easier.
