cant get the motor out.
ok so i got the axles out and everything is unbolted or disconnected. but now i cant figure out how to get the motor out of the car cuz the tranny is hittin the passenger side motor mount bracket. any ideas of how to get the motor past it?
what year vehicle are you working on?
im assuming a DA because they are a pain in the *** to get the tranny side out
your best bet is going to be to support the motor on the drivers side more to tilt the engine at an angle to get the tranny side out
if not then put the motor on the ground and lift the car up high enough so you can pull the engine out from underneath it

remove the mount and then push and wiggle and get the motor at an angle so it will clear the chasis tranny mount and pull it out slowly having the other people move the motor around
you will need 2 extra people on each side of the engine to help guide it out, it is alot more difficult to put the engine in than it is to take it out

You'll have to take off both lower mounts...incase you havent done that already. Then rotate the engine slightly (tranny towards the front) motor towards the back. The first time I did it, I got pissed and dropped the engine on a cart underneath it and then picked the chassis straight up. Given I had a big A-frame that allowed me the height to do that.
