with a race header, you could not use the OEM cat converter?

No it eliminates it...

Depends on ur emissions testing i would say in some places they only hook up a OBD tester to see if ur throwing any codes if u have a O2 sim u do not throw a code there for you will pass the test but if the do a smog test like in Cali then u should swap back to the stock header and Cat for now

if you have a properly working cat you wouldnt need kpro at all
swap out your rh w/ your stock cat or just run a hiflow

so the fact that its a type-r motor would have nothing to do with the smog, all i need is a stock cat? because i've heard differently

Nothing. Because i have K-Pro and my Check engine light is not on. Now if you have a race header and your CEL comes on then you cannot pass emissions. If you go to a Mr. Sticker or some place that ONLY does state inspections...they will most likely put a sniffer to your exhaust. If you go to a dealership, they dont test your exhaust unless your CEL is on. But then again....i live in texas.

</TD></TR></TABLE>honestly, i have no idea
i just go to my tuner before an inspection (with my rh)
takes about 2 mins
get my sticker
go back to my tuner
another 2 mins
then i'm on my way
btw, my tuner has an 02 type-s with an itr swap (catless)
he always passes inspection without putting the stock cat back on
