need some help with fuel pump wiring...
Ok, so I bought a 93 dx hatchback, and the wiring was all cut up and spliced together. It had a D15B7 engine, with a vx wiring harness and the ecu connectors had cut, spliced, and missing wires. I decided to swap out the entire harness, engine and firewall body harness. I had a del sol harness, so I used that. After getting it all wired up, the car cranks but will not start. I can tell its fuel, because I don't hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn the key. I searched on here but couldn't find the help I need, I already replaced the main relay and still nothing. There is an extra connector on the dx body harness that goes to the rear of the car. I am guessing that the fuel pump is not connected. Does anyone have a pin out for the dx harness, and the del sol harness, or could some one tell me the colors of the fuel pump wires so I can bypass the connector and wire it to where it needs to go.
how bout some info someone? i searched and nothing that people say has worked. Any idea if the del sol connector is different from the hatch? i know the harnesses are different. Could someone at least tell me what each colored wire on the hatchback fuel pump is. that would be some help...
The problem is, you're not actually troubleshooting. Nobody here can help because anything they say would be guess work. How about trouble-shooting the problem?
Do you have spark?
What's your fuel pressure?
Get a copy of the manual, look for the "no start" procedure and start trouble-shooting.

There's 50 things if could be, from blown fuses to a bad ECU. That's why you have to get the wiring diagram and start tracing back till you find your missing voltage.
I'd start at the pump, work toward the main relay, then if it's not coming on, the ECU and power to the ECU.

i have been trouble shooting. i am asking for a diagram or wire colors. I have done all the trouble shooting from other peoples problems. If i hard wire it, it will run, i drove it today, but i was told that hard wiring is bad for the fuel pump, due to some thing about the main relay and ohms or something. I was asking for a diagram and no one has helped me still. there is no power to the pump when the key is on. Like i said, could it be from the hatch harness not matching the del sol harness?

The manual's available online if you look around. It has the diagram and the color codes. If you tell me specifically what wires you need colors for I'll look it up.
Main relay wires? The problem sounds like it has to be between the main relay and the pump right?
Yellow/Green from the main relay is supposed to feed power to the fuel pump.
Green/Yellow into the main relay's supposed to activate the relay for the fuel pump.
Black/Yellow into the main relay's supposed to be the 12volts to power the fuel pump.
When I post here, I assume everyone has a copy of the manual. They're all over the internet.

i was wondering what the wires are for that come from the fuel pump. Its kind of confusing, but im going to try to wire them into the harness correctly, but seeing as how the connectore dont match i have to get info from both harnesses.

We dont have a copy of the manual.
The Civic body harness has 1 connector plug that has nothing to connect to it from the Del Sol main harness, and the main harness has 3 plugs that have nothing to connect into the Civic hatch harness.
The main harness is from a 95 Del Sol Si and the body harness is a 93 Dx.

Well, look at the main relay, you should see the color codes I mentioned. That's from a 93 EG manual though honda tends to use the same colors most of the time.
I'd verify that the main relay's activating and sending 12 volts on the Yellow/Green wire. If it's not, then you need to trouble-shoot the main relay. If it is, then there's an open between the relay and the pump. You could even run you own wire from the main relay to the pump if you wanted to.
When you turn the key on, the main relay should supply power for couple seconds to that wire, then cut off. So, turn the key on and off and see if the relay's clicking/sending power onto that wire.
You MUST find a copy of the manual or you'll just be guessing.
My guess is the color codes on the Del slow and EG are the same.
