Ignition Wires/Antifreeze
I'm still learning which brands to buy, etc. but this forum and the search button is helping me out greatly! Okay, looks like it might be time for a new set of ignition wires. Does replacing the stock setup with a more performance oriented set increase power any? I'm thinking 1-2 hp at most. (Please, correct me if I'm wrong!). I'm running the Honda genuine NGK plugs, so whose ignition wires should I buy and how much should I expect to pay?
Second, it's time for a coolant change in the radiator and I'm friggin' lazy and it's cold outside (here in Colorado today). What's a decent price for a radiator flush from a Honda service place? Can you just throw old antifreeze away or pour it down the sink or do you need to dispose of it properly, like oil? Thanks in advance!

I use a set of NGK oem replacement wires, ~$45-55 bucks for a set. I personally dont think any set of wires over $70 is worth it unless you really have the money to spend, and have upgraded every other part you can think of.
Buy Honda plug wires if everything else is stock. You wont see any gains just from performance wires. Aftermarket wires I've used are crap because they stick up out of the valve cover and the end connections appeared to be made from copper (corroded like crazy)......a material the OEM wires werent made of.
As for your radiator, Honda should do it for no more than $50.....unless you've got some serious deposits which require flush detergents. If you do it yourself, use genuine green rad fluid. You can pour it down the drain with a bunch of water if there arent any designated HazWaste drop off sites near you. Antifreeze is just a light alcohol which means it's toxic if you drink it but the water treatment plant can handle it. Call up your local city and ask them what they'd recommend.
