Default Temp. Fan switch/sensor question.....

Well it is time to replace the temp/fan switch/sensor or whatever you call it but it is a pain to get out. Does anyone know the size socket I would need to get this baby out? The biggest socket I have is a 19mm and it was too small so I want to take a trip to Sears and get the right socket.

Thanks!

EDIT: Got it done, it was a 24mm deep socket!

Off the top of my head its a 21mm deep (obviously). But what i do sometimes is just get some channel locks or vise grips and break it loose. Once you do that its good to take off by hand.

Though that's just b/c I don't have many deep sockets (not a full set).

Though blah, whatever works for you, I say "F sockets" there.

Tried the vice grips but they kept slipping on me cause I couldn't get a good grip on it, but being on crutches for God knows how long limits my mobility. I thought if I used a socket and a breaker bar I can get away with doing it. Thanks for the help!

Well it turned out to be a 24mm socket, bought one at Sears and the damn sensor came right off. Channel locks and vice grips were not budging, they were just stripping the sensor. The 24mm deep socket worked like a charm!
