Swap Question? Hf to Dx with MPFI conversion:Whats needed.
Okay here the thing: After spending a few hours last nite searching I was no closer to the answers than I am now. Here' my senario:
'89 crx HF (stock)...I have a d15b2 engine,Si resistor box, ecu,TB with sensors (basically the ususal suspects for the swap). I think I'm just about there but I need the experts to review it
. The questions:
- Can the Hf distro be reused or do I need an Si distro?
- Is there any wiring or sensors I need to worry about?
Any insight is welcome-seems to be a lot of info on the MPFI swap from the DPFI angle, but very few from the angle I'm doing. I guess its there just have to decimnate what I can really use.
Thanks again

from what i know, the hf distributor CAN be reused because the hf is mpfi. i've always read that the hf, si, and ex distributors are the ones to get, but if i'm wrong, someone please correct me.
EDIT - Ok, I read that wrong.
Yup, you can use the HF distributor, you should actually end up with less wiring in the end though (less stupid emission toys)

you don't need anything to put a b2 in your car, use your dizzy, manifolds, harness and ecu and it'll drop right in, everything is plug and play. you can even upgrade to Si manifolds, tb, injectors and ECU and gain some nice power. theres no wiring involved, if anything your HF harness will have a few extra plugs that you don't use, 2 i think actually.

Thanks for the info. I have the "upgrade' parts from an Si (d16a6)...this should be fun. Actually how long should this swap take for a 'newbie" to do?
Once again thanks

i agree no extra wiring will be needed. change the ECU first to a SI one. you will notice a diffrence.
