tein flex lowers ride height by shock body length, so it doesn't really matter how low you are, the ride will feel the same, except for center of gravity and even ride height, depending on how high they are
just play around with them, and find what ride height is best for you

that's the dampening adjustment, not the height adjustment
that's the dampening adjustment, not the height adjustment
also the length of the shock can be adjusted also. the dampers and coilovers i kno. should i make the shocks longer.. and lower the coilovers? isnt it a better ride if the car sits more on the shocks then the coilovers??

lowering the spring instead of raising the lower mount will lose preload on the spring, which will premature wear the shocks, and also bouncy ride if i'm not mistaken...when you have a high end coilover that is fully threaded with a threaded lower mount, it's best to lower the car by threading the shock body into the lower mount...
don't know if this pic will help, but you can see how my buddy club coilovers are adjustable, just like the flexes

as you can see on the far right, the lower mount is lower than the other rear coilover on the far left, that's the best way to lower the car, threading the shock body into the lower mount

Good info
I learned alot from this post. I never knew you COULD lower using any other method than the bottom perch.

well, only the high end coilover systems have this, for example, the lowest level coilover than has this feature in Tein's lineup is the flex...superstreet, basic, HA, don't have the lower mount adjustment

thankz guys for the advice.. it seriously helped.. havent gotten the right feel yet.. but its gotten alot better.. guess i still gotta play around with them thankz again guys
This is why i dont like my ground control skunk2 adustable springs and the combination of the tokico 5-way adustable illuminas because the springs are not compressed, when i jack up the car i see that the springs will just drop. i guess this is the preload that you were talking about?. Not bad for my first lowering setup. But i will definitely buy a whole coilover setup system.

yep, that's preload...
when i jack up my car the spring doesn't decompress at all
