Brakes squeal on easy stops...and one wheel has much more dust than the other...what's wrong?
My brakes only started to squeal a few thousand miles ago. It's not always a consistent squeal, but it tends to happen when I'm lightly modulating the brakes--like typical street braking.
The pads have a good amount of meat on them, and I don't see any other visual problems. BUT, one thing that I do notice is that the passenger side wheel never has as much brake dust as the driver's side. Could it be that it's sticking? Even if that were the case, my car doesn't pull to a certain side when i brake hard...
If it is sticking, how do I fix it? Just lube the sliders?

Generally one side has more dust then the other (because of weight distribution maybe?). Either way, generally that squealing under light braking is just a metallic spot (ie carbon metallic brakes), however it is much much more common on cheap brake pads. Yes, the $7 autozone specials squeal and the $60 OEMs dont.
