From all the header testing that was done on here over the years, I'd have to say it's the JDM DC 4-1 as long as it's the B18c. Price wise it's reasonable and decent quality and doesn't perform all that bad in comparrison to the higher end headers.

I have to agree.

If you have a stock D16Z6 (like me) or stock D15b7 you should just buy an ebay header, because that's gonna get you the furthest for the 30 bucks it costs. No sense in dropping 250 on a real header for the 4.3 whp it'll give you.

Im sure you know the K20 responds to bolt ons MUCH better than other honda motors, especially D series.

Another vote for Ebay

If you own a k20..

you know the only header for that in a swapped civic... is the DTR/SSR FAB 4-2-1 header.

if you buy something else, you would be wasting your money.

if you didn't know that, please go to http://www.k20a.org and learn more about your engine.

Its a K20, i'd believe that much of a gain from a properly sized header for sure.

But doood, why would you reccomend all those expensive (but great) headers? He's got a stock Y7. I assume stock since he's still got the stock exhaust manifold and doesnt seem like he's DYING to replace it. He WANTED to jb weld it and keep it as is....so I doubt he'll be interested in a custom fabbed header, or one $500+.

But in your defense, if he was building a nasty B series, all of the headers you mentioned would work perfectly.

I still say Ebay. Megan Racing all day.

did somebody say stillen, ummm horrible, yucky!

Id go header-less over that kinda contraband. Either way your going to whiff some sweet sweet aroma that starts with carbon (not carbon fiber) and ends with monoxide, due to cracks/fitment. I love my OEM 99-00 header, just modify the collector and im set to accept a 1.5hp gift, more like a treat at DQ after a long sunny day.

A real tasty snack would be a, what you call a, uhh sexy time with a turbo. But since your not axeing a turbo question, id say hit up megan, thats what i would do.

Reason im not gonna do that, is I have a date with some chick tommrow. I cannot have her find a reciept that says "JDM" , APC or Megan, because she thinks shes dating a nice young man, not some brain spilner, trying to buy something named after a spanish prostitute would refrain me from loosing my virginity. Hence I will have the words OEM sand blasted into my door ****.

the OP has a b18c1 listed in his sig. and i got confused with someone saying k20 earlier and started recommending those headers.

Oh wait...he has a Bseries? That I did NOT know. I was under the impression it was the stock D in his car.

Who knows, hahaha Defnitely some GREAT headers that you listed though and If I was building an NA b series I would certainly own one of the ones you listed.

EDIT: You are correct. He does have a Bseries....my bad brotha
