Well, checked out the car yesterday.
No apparent driveline/bearing problems.
Still have brake pads and, even rotated the wheels!

Scratch one squirrell in the park though, ....
and a F%$#@%&^$ tire that I managed to clear @ 1:30 AM on the upper part of I-270 southbound this morning!
(don't ask me how)
Still didn't have time to wash it or bleed the brakes, yet. Ed

 

I just added a MOMO rookie seat for the passenger and harnesses (in my rollbar equipt car )

So where are the majority of you guys staying? I know some people are camping but for those of you who aren't. I'm at the Guesthouse Inn, anyone else? And what about a place to meet up and get to know people Sunday night? I don't know anyone.

 

I'll be staying with the inlaws (just down the street) I'm still trying to put together a bon-fire but haven't made it up to the property to do some recon

I have a feeling you'll meet plenty of our crowd by hanging around the lobby and/or the parking lot at the Guesthouse Inn

The track has showers. They're on the rear side of the restroom building (separate entrances from the normal restroom entrance on the front side of the building).

I will be at the Guesthouse Inn. I will be arriving fairly late Sunday evening, depending on what time my students at Mid-Ohio decide to call it a day.

Preparations? Let's see...

- Flushed brake fluid with Motul RBF 600: Check.

- Used Zymol HD-Cleanse™ to remove the tire marks from Putnam Park and Road America: Check.

- Fresh coat of Zymol Japon™: Check.

- Fresh coat of Rain-X on the windshield: Check.

- Ordered and received another pair of heat-cycled Yokohama A032R tires, in case the one that's really worn decides to go: Check.

- Installed HID lights: Check.

- Oil change and filter: Scheduled for Tuesday.

- Brake pad change: Scheduled for Tuesday.

Yeah, I'm ready.

Well hope you guys have fun...i was planning on going but things aren't working out over here. Was really looking foward to going and seeing some of the east peeps that made it out here last year. Also, wanted to got for a ride with Ed and Matt. Be safe ya'll and please take lots of pics. Maybe a group photo of all the peeps.

Vago~ who feels like a dumbass especially after telling everyone he was going and vowed to never miss an expo.

Can we camp out at the race track? if so, do we have to pay to stay over night? I would like to stay over sunday night, and have not really planned at all

If anybody needs a place to stay on any night, I have no issues with people crashing on the floor of my room. Just an offer.

 

I'll more thaqn likely be spectating and hanging out for one night. Can I camp on the track even if I'm not driving in the expo?

I couldn't make it in time financially, but I would love to head up there at least for a night to meet many of you

I am so behind on getting the car ready. This is what happens when you go to school an hour and a half from your R and you rarely go home. I swear I've only drivin it once or twice in the last month. (Please begin flames - I deserve it, haha)

So what kind of brake pads and brake fluid are you guys using? I'm also planning on changing the oil this weekend too (Mobil 1 like always ). Now if I can only get some track tires.....
