Door pin for remote starter install 95 CX
Hey. I searched, found one guy with an 88 CRX doing the same thing I am, but it didn't sound like his pins worked the same as mine. I'm installing an UltraStart 1256M (I don't care how crappy it is, I just want to start my car from my house). There's one wire coming from my 95 CX's door pin sensor and I have to tap into that, but they give me two choices: a (+) Door Pin system or a (-) Door Pin system. Which one is this? I would guess (+) because it's grounded via the mounting screw to the body, but I could be wrong. So would I use the wire for the "(+) Door Pin" or the "(-) Door Pin" to tap into my sensor? Thanks. If this is in the wrong forum, please move.
it's considered a (-) door pin because when the door is open it grounds the wire. when the door is closed it opens the wire (shows 12V due to power being on the other side of the interior light)
in hondas the door pins work the same no matter if it's an 84 or 06. (ground=open door)

Alright at first I thought it would be the same for all Hondas, but then I thought it would make more sense (in my head) to call it a (+) door pin, because the ground isn't really a ground wire, it's just a screw, and it's only the positive value that alternates. Thanks for clearing that up for me though!!
