Default Decking block .060?

D16 block
no milling on the head
decked .060
PDH .024
Static CR of 11.73:1 with a 4.00 dome, smaller than the P29's dome of 7.2

What kind of problems might I run into?

None, just remember to check dowel height, head bolt height, and do cam timing.

timing belt autotensioner may not be effective, but you could probably get at it in the chassis with a hook tool and pull up to help it tension.

.070 off a B series does the same thing.

I figured the autotension wouldn't work. First time it will be on an engine stand. After that whenever I change the belt in-car. A pic of a head you took a lot off made me think of this. I'd like to take off the head to get some quench, but then the pistons would be way in the hole.

you could run a flat quench milled head and single layer gasket too, or a combination of block/head mill to get where you want.

sidenote- if its all on the head, the intake/exhaust studs come down and squeeze the header against some pilars on the deck surface for B series. not sure on a D yet, but worth keeping an eye out.

are you saying that after the block is decked the pistons will still be in the hole .024"? you could make them come out of the hole a very small amount if you wanted so thats not a problem, as long as the piston clears the head.

I'd like to do the head instead Mike, but then the pistons would be .084 in the hole.

Don't really want to take more off the deck so I can play around more with timing on pump 93. I guess I could always take more off and make a thicker HG.
