With the R, in order to use a JDM 4-1 header and stock catback,
how do you do it?

just get a different size cat----what size?

thanks

carsound 94066 i believe.
needs to be 2.5" to 2.5", but the ID match of yoru b-pipe and your cat will be pretty bad. stock b-pipe ID is 1-3/4", but it will bolt up.

i'm referring to the stock ITR exhaust....

which is 2" diameter right?

will that work?

im not so sure which cat i have right now, but i got it as a package with the JDM 4-1....so should that be right?

the cat is a carsounds unit, 2.5" diameter, and is 16" long....that work?

You get a 2" connector welded on to one side of the cat. and then a flared end for the sid ethat hooks in to the header.

Talk to Mike @ IPSRacing (www.ipsracing.com) or Mark @ Landspeed (www.landspeedracing.com) about getting a carsound cat. to fit for you. It's relatively easy.

The cat should bolt up to the stock b-pipe without a problem. However, there will be a mismatch in the diameter's of the cat outlet and the flange of the b-pipe. Dave at SMSP sells a reducer flange that will taper the entrance to the b-pipe from 2.5" down to the 2.25' of the rest of the piping. It installs with a small amount of cutting and welding. HTH.

I highly recommend Dave's (SMSP) reducer flange. I got mine in stainless, it's sweet! He even sent it out on a Saturday!! Dave rocks!
