Default I wants to be more dumped y0!!!!!

Hey I'm running Koni Threaded coilovers ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1827661 ) and I just dumped my car to the bottom of the coilovers last week. However I am still not satisfied. I was looking for a cheap way of lowering my car even more. Will Ground Control Tophats fit on these coilovers? Are there any cheap ways to lower the car any more? I'm rolling my fenders later this month and I'm gonna be getting some 195/50/15 tires...Thank You ~Victor

ground control top hats will not make you lower by themselves, they give you more suspension travel.

You're running out of suspension travel, and you want to lower it more? Have fun dude, but we aren't going to be able to help you, at all. You're making the problem you already have even worse.

If you want to dump the car to the pavement for appearance purposes, hey, its your car, do what you want. However, you'll never have a good ride that way. Our cars just don't have the necessary suspension travel to do that. Airbags are really the only way to get an acceptable ride quality slammed.

Heck, even lowered to flushed tires on my DC2 left me sitting on the bumpstops at rest, and thats with GC upper mounts and short GC bumpstops. Even if I somehow created additional shock travel (shortened shocks or equivalent), then all I would do is change the bottoming from the shock shaft to slamming the UCA into the inner fender (done that plenty). Adding a camber kit only makes this even worse, because they have a taller ball joint than stock.

Then email Koni and ask if their coilover kit uses the same external shock diameter as normal Koni Sport shocks. If the shock won't fit up inside the upper mount, then you won't gain any suspension travel. You can also stuff the shock further down into the shock fork, to gain some additional travel that way.

Alternatively, PM CRX Lee and see if he happens to know or can find out.

wait is that.....? Yep i smell rice. Sorry I couldnt help it. Anyways dont roll your fenders. You will crack the paint on the inside of the fender then it will peel up and you will have a car that scrapes the ground and chipping paint. But hey if your really lucky you will hit bump with your oil pan one night and blow your motor. Like the guy b 4 me said though your car.

This is the same kid who posted a thread about his "silkroads" with no technical info or reveiw at all...

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1837121

He also claims that "I am happy to say that only 2 EK's in the world have this suspension."

Now that sounds like rice to me!

To the OP: I rolled my fenders alittle bit and had no problems with paint cracking. If you go slow and take your time, it sould all be ok.

To the OP, you shouldn't need to roll your fenders, especially with the tiny (and incorrectly sized if you drive an Integra or later Civic) tires you intend to run. I didn't need to roll mine to fit 205/45-16s on a set of 16x7 wheels with a 42 offset. They just tucked up into the fenders without issue. A lower offset might leave you needing to roll the rears, or you could just add a little more negative camber. Really, get the correctly offset wheels and you won't have any issues at any ride height.

Now, if you come back and suddenly want to squeeze 225/45-15s in there or something, then it would be time to start talking about rolling fenders.

Not sure how having a real suspension on your car is rice, but thats cool. I have now updated that thread because my power has finally come back on so check it out.

i might get away withour rolling my fenders, but my neighbor is renting one for three days for his car, so i might as well just roll em, hell its free . I drive a del sol so im pretty sure thats the right tire size. if i decide to get 16's then ill def get 205/45/16. Anyway back to my question, does anyone know if Ground control tophats will fit my coilovers? im sure if i call up ground control theyll tell me they dont, so id be looking for some experience or just some insight

A couple of things.

1) I gave you the way to find your answer concerning fitment. Koni or CRX Lee are your best sources for that answer. You can also measure the external shock diameter, and see how it matches up to a standard Koni Sport shock.
2) If 195/50-15 is the correct size for you (I don't know), then a 205/45-16 will be too tall. You'd be better with a 205/40-16.
