Any Experience with this setup on 92-00 Civic: F/10k R/8k or F/8k R/6k ???
As title states, experience with this setup on 92-00 Civic, F/10k R/8k or F/8k
R/6k, or something similar to these rates ??? To add more info on the topic,
damper characteristics are (or should be) suited to these spring rates, with
some level of adjustability on damping. For instance Tein Flex are 9k/5k.
Basically I'm trying to narrow down my decision on which rates I should
choose. I am now in the position to replace old shocks/crappy coilovers
and I can finally afford to upgrade to something better. I currently have
Weapon-R Dual Spring Coilovers on KYB AGX, on my 2000 Civic Sedan.
This setup is stiff and underdamped. I am seriously considering coilovers
with the rates mentioned and I'm having trouble deciding between the 2
combinations.
I realize comfort is a subjective issue but between these rates I am sure
either would be a significant improvement over my current setup. I just
don't want to be disappointed by going too soft or too stiff. I am looking
for a significant improvement in comfort, while maintaining or improving
overall handling balance and agility.
Contributions to this thread are greatly appreciated.

I have Ksport 11k/7k and it's pretty smooth, but can also handle corners. I love it. Have you decided what brand to buy for the coilovers and struts?

Thanks for the link, it's a good read. I'm still having a hard time determining what would be right for me. If only I could sample the P2's. That would set my decision in stone instantly.
KSports 12k/10k on an eg
Since you're on a sedan, might want to try higher rates due to weight. 10k rear on an eg is not very comfortable for daily driving but then again, i drive through the canyons.... so its comfortable for me.

i run omni adj coilovers 10k/ 8k on an EG. It handles great on smooth roads. Its still handles pretty good on the streets too. But it is a very stiff ride when the roads get rough, it's not horrible though.

if your looking for comfort and are planning to use 550lb/in or less rates look for a damper with a linear progressive valving. when street driving or at lower PISTON speeds the damper will pretty much be on the soft side but at higher PISTON speed the damper will be less forgiving and feel stiffer and will be less likely to botom out
if your looking for a track/autocross damper you will be looking for a digressive curve with a good amount of low PISTON speed valving because of its ability to make quick load transfers and quick turn transition and absorb the bigger bumps and imperfections

I'm using skunk 2 10kg on the front and 8kg on the rear with 21mm front sway and a 19mm sway in the rear and Tokico blue struts. I know this setup is pretty good for the streets and in you want to do some corners you'll love it. My only concern is my rear subframe which I havent check to see if its cracking or not due to the lack of reinforcement on the subframe. The setup is a compromise for the street/auto x. But I havent auto x yet. But grassroots motorsport did an EG hatch with I think 8kg front and 6kg rear with 23mm front sway and 21mm rear sway. They said the setup was a good dual purpose setup.
