Anyone know about Lugnuts?
Here's my question, my stock 91 CRX alloys (swirls) use acorn nuts (ball seat) and I recently picked up a set of Rota RB's. I shortly after purchased a set of lock lugs and discovered the lug seat on the Rota is ball seat. However most of the aftermarket lugs for our cars, including locks are cone seat.
What are my options, and would it really hurt anything if I use cone seat lugs on a ball seat wheel?

Yes. Don't do it. Your options: get the right lugs.

hurt anything? it could just cause your wheel to sheer off the lugstuds... that might hurt YOU.

Are you sure the lug seat on the Rota is ball shaped? On most aftermarket wheels, it's tapered. (I've found that the easiest way to tell is to feel the shape of the seating area with your fingertips.)
You REALLY don't want to use the wrong lug nuts on any wheels; that means they come into contact along a line (circle), instead of over an area, and they can easily work loose. You can buy chrome lug nuts (either kind) for $1.19 each at Autozone, or any auto parts store or tire store. Or, you can try asking the person you got the wheels from if they can give you the lugs for them.

The rota's actually suprised me as well considering most wheels made for honda applications are tapered seat.
Thanks everyone for confirming what I knew. I just wanted to make sure. Well a shopping I will go then.
