air intake for the r18

Default air intake for the r18

hey guys im kinda new to my car its an 07 dx-g sedan and i want to put a cold air intake. Im kinda shoked not to be able to hear the v-tec kick in at all i would of thought that you would of atleast heard it a lil bit.... did you guys hear the v-tec kick in more with the cold air ? Just bought the car like 3 weeks ago. and miss my exaust and stuff on my old one lol. any help would be apreciated

im ordering an intake soon from injen. its a cold air. im gettin it for mild power gains and improves gas mileage a bit. but im not buying it to hear my engine more thats just a bonus, but im sure you will be able to hear a slight whistle or something when on the gas.


and theres no dash in "vtec"

But there is in i-vtec.... ahaha, I know I'm hilarious.... but uh no, really, you'll hear the suction, or at least you should, and in terms of hearing the vtec kick in.... it's more of a feel than a hear. I mean, I guess you can hear it, not quite sure how to describe the sound though.....

its cause when usually you put an air intake you hear the valves alot more but i never had a cold you know how cavaliers are lol piece of junk lol on wheels lol well when i get the cash im probably goin to put one on and hope for the best

go with the injen CAI. ive heard good things about them compared to AEM and Fujita. im going with Injen, when i get some cash

yeah i just got to get the cash and there's a few mods i want to put in like eibach lowering springs rota slipstream 16 inch flat black .... put magnaflow muffler and stuff like that
