jack up the front end, do a front end check. unlock the steering wheel and chock the rears. shake the front tires, up and down, side to side, is there excessive play?
for the motor mounts load the engine up and have someone look for excessive engine movement - chock the wheels, e-brake up, put it in gear and rev it. pay attention to engine movement. but i highly doubt its a motor mount, you'd feel heavy vibration.
try these out and post back

okay its not the motor mounts then because there is no vibrations...everything in the front end looks normal like it should....
i had something similar happen to me today, i was at a stop light, went to take off and i heard a clunk and the car stopped abruptly. called for a tow truck and had it towed to my shop that i work at. turns out my drive shaft had broken in to two pieces.
maybe that is whats wrong with your car.
try looking at your drive shafts and see if they're broken
as for the front end, did you do the tests? or just a visual?

i just looked at it visually. but it isnt either of the axles. i put brand new ones in both sides the day after it happened just to make sure that wasnt it.

the car is in the body shop at the moment. i dont think its a wheel bearing because the wheels arent like loose or anything like you normally see with bad wheel bearings...but it doesnt seem like it does it when i have the clutch to the floor or it in neutral...im just trying to get the best ideas before i get it back from the body shop and drop the tranny and realize nothing is wrong with it...keep up the suggestions
thanks for all your help
