Need a little help

hi,
I'm rebuilding a 16i 16 89' crx and I cannot possibly get that ***** desk out!
I started on removing the bracket in the middle for the ventilation and sterio, but I cant get one screw out because of all the stuff in front of it.

Is there anyone here willing to give me a little guidence through this?!?

screws are on the side
then you lift the ctr console over the gear shift as one peice

i got everything out except for this piece. It's blocking my way of clearing out the trunk for paint
