Default EVOTION *)()()()()()(* Good or Bad???

Just wondering if anyone is useing any of the Evotion products (i.e. Intercoolers/oil coolers). The company is a subdivision/ product line under Toucan Industries. Just looking for some feedback as Toucan Ind. carries the infamously substandard Ractive products etc. Just wondering if their 'coolers' or titanium exhaust systems are even worth looking into or not. In an old copy of C16 magazine, I came across a mean silvia/240sx with around 600rwhp and an evotion oil cooler paired with an evotion 700+ FMIC. I checked out the site (toucanindustries.com) and recieved little/no information regarding the line.

Any feedback would be appreciated

They're sub-par parts for sure.

You get what you pay for. So its up to you if you want to use them or not.

I dont know for SURE if they're sub-par so lemme reword that. If they're along the lines of Toucan, and Ractive...then they're definitely shitty parts. I've actually never seen them around oddly enough.

I know whose car it is...if you took a second to check it out instead of trying to talk down to me - you would realize the pics are from one of his original posts...

As far as your response goes - it did nothing to answer my original question.

Im far from sure...but if those cars are sponsored by Evotion..that may be the only reason those parts are on the cars. If you know who the cars belong to, shoot a PM to the owner and ask his honest opinion on the parts in the time that he/she has owned them. You may get some good information from those guys.

Good luck If its on a car like that...sponsored or not, if you find a killer deal on an Evotion product, i'd say scoop it up! Its not like its a turbo manifold or anything that is really "risky", yanno?

They're hit and miss. Depends on what products you're referring to. For example, the Evotion blow off valve is poorly made, and leaked considerably, which is why the green Civic now runs a Greddy BOV. The intercooler and mufflers have actually held up very well on a few friends cars, one of them being the HondaTuning featured Civic above.

The 240 you're referring to installed the oil cooler and intercooler on an agreement with the old owner and head editor of C16, who, at the time, worked in conjunction with Toucan industries. Not sure if the 240 is still using them. An oil cooler was given to me, but it was paper thin, and the lines provided were terrible, I didn't feel comfortable putting it on my car.
