are universal O2 sensors fine for use?
I don't mind wiring it to the connector(only one wire after all)
the ones with a connector listed specifically for my car are 45-60 bucks
They both have a 1yr wnty
I don't see that connector being worth $50
the universal ones are less than $20
what else is the difference?

Don't be so slap happy. A week or two may be fine for inspection, but your performace for the rest of the year will suffer. I have NEVER had any good luck with generic 02 sensors and always ended up spending the $ for the OEM type. You may have better luck, though. They are warrantied if they don't work.
Once I used some aftermarkets bosch ones on a 2 sensor B16 and to this day 5 years later as far as i know(sold swap few years ago) they are working.
the one that was in there turned out to be a universal as well
I had been using it for 2yrs and it was in there when the prev owner had it
