ITR??? Thinking of buying
Hi,
Ive been to look at a car this afternoon, Im not sure if im wrong here but i thought they only made integras (DC5) as Type R's, the model i went to see this afternoon was a JDM Integra with a tiptronic box, it had no type r badges what so ever, the interior was black and so was the rocker cover and the honda badge on the stering wheel, but when i came to get a quote when i got home it came up as a 1998cc ITR, any ideas anyone, would like to buy the car in the morning as i love the tiptronic box, but would love to know what model it is, and if possible the bhp, and any know faults with the tiptronic box.
Thanks in advanc u guys.

I'm still trying to figure out what you are asking.. but I think you are asking if Integras are only available in UK as a Type R?
DC2 Integras were only available in England as ITRs. DC5s were not available in England in any model. If you are looking at a grey market DC5 and it has an auto 'box and the other features you mentioned I highly doubt it is a converted ITR and I would be very cautious about the VIN, let alone the history of the car.
If this is actually the VIN on the car, not one provided to you it sounds like there may have been some funny business going on to get it imported.
Also in the US the only RSX available with an auto is the base model with about 160hp, softer suspension and so on. The RSX Type S has 200-210 and several other desirable features but no automatic.
The DC% ITR had about 220hp if I'm not mistaken

You are correct ... the DC5-R (K20A motor) came stock with 220hp
I do not know of any DC5-R's with a Tiptronic style tranny ... should have come stock with a 6-spd manual gearbox with LSD.
This sounds kind of questionable ... I would do a lot of research on this vehicle if I were you ... check out VIN, engine code, etc etc ...

Sorry i think ive made a mess of the post, i had assumed it was a type r, didn't realise there were any other models other than the DC5-R, with the looks of it from the other couple of posts it has to be the usa one (which i doubt it is as its got right hand drive), or the 200 - 210 bhp one.
Cheers for your helps guys, eithen though i still dont have a clue
