Default Fastbrakes BIG REAR kit

this one is for anyone who's got the Fast Brakes Big Rear kit for the integra.

I have a bunch of questions that have not been addressed in any other posts on this topc.

1. With the ABS, how does a bigger brake affect braking/ABS/handling, and is ABS utility decreased?
2. Is a proportioning valve needed with the rear brake upgrade?
3. Is the Big Rear really necessary with the front brake upgrade?
4. Is there any bias due to bigger front brakes? I understand that the nose will dive a bit more with more front stopping...but is it really that drastic?

Default Re: Fastbrakes BIG REAR kit (drPheta)

first off, i installed the itr calipers up front. then later on i installed the rear kit.

1. i havent noticed any problems. i have done lots of research, i have not found any hard evidence of the front or rear kit adversely afecting the abs system. i wouldnt worry about it.
if you are getting into abs often on your brakes. you just need to slow down. i only hit abs when the road is total crap (gravel/ice)

2. no

3. no, the rear kit just helps in making the rear end squat more when going under braking. when braking, as you know the rear end wants to come up. this helps that alot.

4. i actually was really happy just driving around & roadcourse with just the fronts. i didnt even touch anything in the back (all stock) in the front i had upgraded the pads (R4S and SS lines)
when i put the rear kit on , it just kept things more planted. but the rear is not necessary. BUT it does just look freaking nice with the bigger rotors.

overall, you will be really happy with bigger brakes. getting off the freway is even fun braking at the near last possible point (kinda dumb)

if you just have basic mods, it will make a big diff in getting you to slowdown faster.
