I need headwork, who is available?
Hey guys... As you may know, I'm building myself a fun SFWD setup to hopefully compete in at least a few events for 2007.
Now that my block is complete, I am ready to begin work on my GSR head. I was going to go with Brad @ RLZ, but my contact for brad (TBone Tom) unfortunately has had to have some surgery lately so he is out of commission.
I'm looking for a light portjob, full valvetrain with ~100 lb. of seat pressure, and a set of stainless valves. I'll be running a ~GT40R through this head. Who do you guys recommend? Turnaround time isn't an issue as it's still only mid-December. My head is packed and ready to go out.
Who did you use, and who do you like? Thanks for any advice.

Well since im on the west I would recommend Tom @ Portflow & Joe Alaniz @ alaniz technolgies...they are dayum good at headwork...
I'd go w/ Headgames out of New Jersey. Dave is way cool and will answer all your questions. I know they did a kick *** job on the Full Race Pinks SOHC head. He done heads for the Bullish Racing/StreetGlow Solara and rail car. He knows his **** and has the best machinist tools available. Check him out you won't regret it.
His number is 609-882-3211!! I've talked to Dave a couple times and he even returns phone calls.

HybridKoop. PM me if interested. We can get our heads out within 2-3 weeks. I can work something out with you.

Thanks for the quick responses so far.
I contacted Head Games a little while back and his prices were too steep for me. I know "you get what you pay for", but I have seen and worked with plenty of stock port/valves heads that have put down very solid numbers... so I'm basically looking for something that will mildly surpass that.

Thanks everyone for the 250 PM's I got today! LOL...
I've decided to use Jim at Stewart Racing Engines out in Indianapolis. Other than Earl Laskey, I've never had someone actually take the time to explain everything to me like Jim has. I'm excited to see his work, and will post pictures of everything in my build thread upon return of the head.
Oh, and just by speaking to him... I see clearly now why you HAVE to decide to either build a full SFWD car, or a full STREET car... can't mix-match and be truly competitive in this class anymore.

Joe Simpsons uses him on his SFWD car and the powerband on that car is AMAZING!
Good luck with that. I use RLZ personally and made 90whp increase on lowe boost from 450-540whp then high boost made 60whp increase 616whp to 676whp
You would have to ask his turn around time though

Tom is good at what he does. We provide heads done by him. He is not huge on customer support, that is why lots of customers choose to get their heads done through us. Thats where I would go if it were me

louis.. honestly we have proved a point with headwork.. as a bussiness owner you try to sell most but that not what we do here at camp1320.com We find things that work and pass it along to our industry.
we have proved a point... we went out fastest with a stock head 8.90's and backed it up. 8 sec pass with stock head ??? yes we broke 8sec with a stock head .!!
i honeslty know alot of people who made hp with ported heads and stock heads
Tom at port flow is good. We use to use him back in the days
Alaniz is ok also they lagggggggg
RLZ is suppose to be good.???
headgames alot of east coast people use but are pricy
JG pro series used to be good.. i dont know who ports over there anymore.
Baker cyl heads is good but also $$$$$$

We have never run the motor with stock or otherwise ported heads just stating what it makes with M2 race system prepped heads.
