i know its probably a stupid question but where is the lsd located

LSD is part of the tranny on these cars.

LSD is inside your transmission, it's another word for Limited Slip Differential. the BIGGEST GEAR inside your transmission... That's part of your LSD.

how would i know if i have or had lsd its cause i took off my tranny and its just laying there is there and its broken from where the throw bearing goes and i will be getting a new one from a junkyard but i will have to give them that one and what if i did have it in there from previous owner and i didnt know is there a way to check with tranny out

 

i dont know if i have that **** cause before when i got my car stock when i would peel off when turning both wheels would turn and then all of a sudden one started turning only when tranny started messing up from input shaft bearing but i also heard the sohc crx si's have some kind of positive or open differantel tranny thats why also both spin

 

Take out your axles. If you can see through your trans then it's lsd. I don't think any d's in the US came with a lsd BUT I could be wrong

its not an lsd, maybe you have shitty tires

sorry, not lsd

 

nah i there new tires and i could spin both

 

i just found out to that rsx's dont have lsd neither but ive seen them peel out with both tires why is that

 

because its a open diff thats what they do sometimes they both spin sometimes they dont

 

On some cars if you catch an open diff just right it'll spin both but turn and hit the gas and the outside tire will go crazy, thus no LSD.
