JDM OBDII injectors???
ok, so i looked everywhere and asked everyone about this and got different answers. i read the FAQ and it said 240cc just different fuel pressure. of the 649 people i asked 324 of them said type r injectors were bigger and 325 said they are the same.
my friend has a ek civic with a jdm type r 99 b18c swap.
the injectors did not connect.
so he used the oem 96 ex injectors.
what are the injector sizes for the ek d16y8 and the type r b18c?

JDMs are 290cc (for the millionth time already)...I had to have my ECU retuned because I believed the 240cc misinformation crap that I got off this site! I have my ecu tuned to reflect that stock injectors are 290cc and it runs perfectly.

I have personally cleaned/flow-tested two sets of JDM ITR injectors and one CTR B16B set for customers, and they are all 23.4-23.9 lb/min @ 45psi which is ~245cc/min.
Did you flow test your injectors? OBD2 Prelude injectors are rated at 290cc/min at 40psi. Consider the possibility that your injectors might have been replaced by a previous owner.
A flow test will not lie.

I have personally sent a set to RC engineering to be cleaned and tested and in fact JDM ITR injectors are 240cc.

What about this?
OBD2 99 civic dx with OBD1 jdm gsr motor swap...using an OBD2 99-00 Si engine harness.
So we just swapped his dx injectors over to the gsr motor...car won't start...could this be part of the problem?

The injectors should plug in just fine and work just fine. There isn't something else going on and I'm not familiar with the wiring required for that swap. What dizzy are you running? OBD1 and OBD2 dizzy plugs are different.
Dude ..I must have called 10 mechanics around town trying to get the numbers, 4 honda specialist said that they are 290cc, the rest said in between 285 and 300. mine tested at in between 288 and 292cc. The ECU I have, has the stock injector setting set at 290cc. When I set it at 240cc I get hords of black smoke out of the exhaust :shrugs:
No one has said your injectors are not 290cc. Have you owned the car since day 1? Like I said earlier, consider the possibility that the injectors you thought were stock, may in fact be those from another Honda such as the OBD2 Prelude.
I have owned my car even before she was built.
The only thing I can think that may be different is the difference between 96 and 98 spec...never bothered to check the sizes on the 96 spec, and I always specified that my car is a 98 spec.

There is no way they are stock ITR injectors. ALL years came with 240's. At some point in time, SOMEBODY switched yours out for what appearst to be prelude 290's. Where did your injectors come from? Did they come with the swap you bought?
nobody swapped my injectors...my car was bought brand new and I pulled the injectors myself...and it still doesn't explain why all the mechs told me that they're 290cc
