what compression would this be "pixs inside"
ok i am putting something together but want to know the compression on this first before i put it all the way together i have a b16 block that i put ls pistons and rods in and i am putting on a gsr head would any one on hear know the compression of this i already know it is high because at top dead center the piston sticks out of the block a little bit i have a pic

That's what I thought

i think you can put a b18 crank into a b16 block (basically stroker kit sorta) but cannot put ls rods into a b16 cause of the length? or is it that just because the pistons on the LS are taller than b16 ones?

3mm longer, or .118".

according to zealautowerks your all WRONG, your compression will be 12.2:1 BUT if your using the b18 crank (you never said which crank your using) then yes it will hit, but if you have b16a crank it will work...

Have you ever built a motor?
Look at the pics. The piston sticks way above the deck. Even with a B16 crank it won't work because the LS piston compression height is the same as the B16 pistons, but the rods are 3mm longer. Get off of your PC and go do something.

he probably only put one on, just to check clearance. a good choice, because that would be mighty nasty if he were to start that thing up
