Default having trouble with gsr swap

i put a b18c1 in my 2000 civic si and it was running fine than two days ago the cel came on. i have the obd2 to obd1 jumper with the stock p72. the cel was code 6 and code 22 and code 21. my car is idling kinda high and there is no vtec, i read up on the codes and i've checked the ohms on all the vtec connectors and the sensors and there all good. where is the engine coolant tempature sensor? i tried replacing the sensor that went to the radiator fan. my car also has a hard time starting once its cold. it starts than stalls maybe 5-10 times before starting and has no throttle response til it warms up. what could be somethings i could do to try to fix the problems at hand? i tried different spool sylinoids all the filters are clean and my oil is full. any advise would be a real help thanks.

Im sorry, I meant what are the codes...like o2 sensor, MAP sensor..etc. From there, it'll be a bit easier to attack the problem. Sorry I worded it a little weird in my last post.

Here ya go...this thread has all the ECU codes for ya....

21 - VTEC Pressure Valve

22 - Knock Sensor

6 - ECT - water temperature sensor

Hopefully, someone with more experience can help you out on diagnosing the problem from here.

But the knock sensor and vtec pressure valve are my obvious guess on why VTEC isnt working.

Are you sure all of your wiring is correct? This may be a very simple problem or a few of these sensors could be bad when you got the motor in the first place, this is actually pretty common when ordering a motor from alot of online sites. I mean...its not your fault, but it definitely happens.

21 is vtec spool solenoid, 22 is vtec pressure valve and 6 is water tempature sensor.

it was running fine and i swapped out the housing and sensor for the radiator fan and the injectors because they were all cracked and thats when it all happened. i put the stock gsr injectors in.

Hmm..weird. This may be a really dumb question, but is everything plugged back in tightly in the correct spots? I doubt you even unplugged them in the first place to change injectors.

Again..hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you out. I'm still certain its a simple problem and you should be back in business in no time!

Why not try to help him out along with directing him to the correct forum?

ok i plugged in a chipped p28 and cleared the codes and when i checked them it was just (41). i put the p72 back in and its throwing code 10 and 6 again. when i put the p30 in there were no codes but idles rough. im thinking of staying with the p28 because the vtec is now working. my question is why would only the p28 throw that code when the other ecu is throwing 2 different codes?

did u reset the ecu after the modifications? the water temp sensor is located on the side of the head (1 wire) i think. located right above where the tranny mates to the block, under or next to the vtec solenoid

ya i checked the ohms on the water temp sensor and it was at 2 ohms when cold and 1 ohm when at normal driving conditions. im kinda confused because it only throws that code when i run on the p72 along with the intake temp sensor. when on the p28 it throws 41 for the o2 sensor. im lost because on every different ecu it throws totally different codes. can all of those sensors really be bad?

How about making some effort to trouble-shoot it instead of swapping ECU's? You go to the shop manual with the codes and it tells you were to start looking. Sounds to me like you may have a bad ground at the 'stat housing. Remember a bunch of grounds tie in there (10 mm bolt).

well if your running a jumper harness from obd2---->obd1 you shouldnt worry about a knock sensor
