92 accord, its been acting up for a while but when i go to turn on my headlights the instrument cluster and other lites dont illuminate.

its prob a switch but what is it??

 

headlight dimmer switch? if unplugged will also cause others not to light. so if its bad?

 

no thats good. when they use to work, id turn the parking lites on and they would be on, but when i turned my headlites on they would go out. i bet its a switch but i dunno what

what are the "other" lites that don't work? Have you checked the fuse panels?

 

the instrument cluster and the climate controls and everything else but the clock and the cd player. i doubt its a fuse because sometimes when i turn on the car and flip the headlights on they wont work, but when i let it sit for a bit then try it again they eventually turn on. they would kinda flicker dim and bright the past few days.
i have no idea

 

It sounds like your multiplexer is shot. Should be on the drivers side attached to your fuse box. I have an 02 accord, and it was the EXACT SAME PROBLEM you were having. The multiplexer is Blue on my fuse box. I'll post pics later.

headlight 'combo' switch

 

that could be too. my friend works @ honda and he said the lead tech thinks it might be that my dimmer switch failed. ill let u know when i find out
