GOLDENEAGLE GASKET??????
which way is the word up faced on an golden eagle vtec conversion gasket suppose to sit?i know its suppose to face up, but can you read it straight or when its upside down if you were looking at it from the front of the car?????????????
It's my understanding that when the headgasket is lying on top of the engine block waiting to accept the head, the word "UP" will be readable straight forward, left-to-right.
thats what i thought but it fits better with the word ''up'' upsidedown, basically turning it 180 degrees. i am confused because in my haynes manual the way the pic is, is the way i have it with the ''up'' is upside down.
i am also curious about the dowels between the head and block, i only have 2 dowels and they are the 2 in the front of the head. i dont hve the 2 in the back of the head. would this do anything or make a problem like a leak or something????
right! that would make it the way i thought it goes, but the "up" is upside down with it this way. thanks . screw it, i am leaving it this way.
