V6 exhaust/dyno questions
I have a 99' 3.0 V6 with an AEM cold air intake, helix power tower, and silverline mufflers. I was going to take out my resognator and replace the 2 1/4'' pipe from the cats to the "Y" with a 2 1/2'' or 3'' pipe. I was wanting to know if anybody has done this and if so would it be worth the 60 bucks to do it...I'm kinda tight with my $$$ right now trying to get wheels and some more engine work done. I'm trying to put my money where it counts and get the most HP for the buck. Pleast let me know if anybody has done this and what it comes up on the dyno
THANKS

Switch to a short ram intake and dont change any of the exhaust setup. You will lose a lot of low end adding a full exhaust or any kind of exhaust. Keep the OEM ones.
Get a UR crank pulley as well and some headers.

everybody keeps telling me headers are a great investment, any points on which ones to get and how hard are they to install on that V6? I have looked at them before and it looks like you have to take the motor out to get em in but im not positive.
Headers are probably the best mod you can do for not much money.
Comptech makes some but they are $1000+. THere are some knockoffs around for cheap. A lot of people rave about the Megans but I wouldnt get them. DC sport now offers some for our Accords too but there has been some issues with them. The SS autochrome ones are pretty good.
Install is fairly easy. The only part that people seem to run into is when takeing off the cat. The bolts are all rusted and hard to get, especially the top one. Other than it should be fine. No need to take the engine out.
