My build up for 2007 season. 56k check back after the holidays.
Just wanna say thanks to Brad (JDMS1eeper) (S-FAB) for doing my turbo setup/motor build

not yet, were waiting on a clutch and putting everything together and tuning. Were shooting between 500-550whp and shooting for 10 sec passes this season

You know how you see the posts about those pistons breaking off at the intake valve reliefs? Well, i had it happen on a car. Come to find out, after talking with CP to find out what the hell the deal is, that piston was designed to accept a 2mm over intake valve and a .550" lift cam! LOL Who runs a .550" cam and 2mm over intake valves on an 81mm 10:1 motor? That's why they break, they're too thin there for big power. Forget about the fact that 2mm over valves won't even fit a stock bore motor. lol

Alright, then what brand of pistons do you recommend for most of these run of the mill, 9:1, stock head/cams, etc. etc...buildups? Wiseco? A different CP?

from what ive seen wiseco and arias have a larger area around the side of the relief.

well you do know.. thats is what inline runs in the 9.4 hatchy
Besides, I have broken a piston the SAME way, but it was w/ an arias piston! oh well..
CP's are more than good enough for this project.

No ****, Keller runs 81.5mm pistons in that car? I don't think so....
It's not the CP brand, it's that model that's not designed right. The bigger bore has a lot more meat in that area...
