Get a smaller intercooler or a sidemount.

Make sure you don't put the Turbo stickers on your car either.

i was wondering about painting it. Does that restrict air flow at all?

If it does it should be minimal, there's a way to go about it. Although it sounds gay, if you put up a black screen it'll work better and you won't have to paint anything. Plus having a license plate in that area will help hide it

i only wonder cause paint isnt that thin. Which would cause an extra layer for the heat/air to transfer through.

I've heard you don't like full-on spray the intercooler, but give it small mists and try to aim at an angle so it just gets the "fins"

I like the painting black idea, I'll have to have mine done when I get mine installed.

I was wondering the same thing, except how do you quiet a blow-off valve? If you're still pushing enough boost that you need one, any way to shut it up?

Yeah, well the thing is, if pple think they almost got ya, then usually you can sucker them into another round if they got the $ for it.

Though in my friend's eclipse when I'm ahead I lift a little so they think they're gaining 'n **** and then can take it again, but when I lift, it's all whoooshing 'n **** and it's like "blah...."

Then I get accused of sandbagging.

Though I don't drive my friend's car too often so it's not like it's a major problem...but the "how do I hide it" part came across my mind many times...

Black paint is the way to go.. If you worried about airflow, just dust the front of the cooler with paint.. even if you painted the intercooler solid your not going to notice a difference unless your making big power. As for the blow of valve, why not reroute the vented air back into the piping between the filter and the compressor. Like factory turbo setups do it wont get rid of all of the noise if you running a cone filter but it will cut it down quite a bit.

yeah that's a cool car. you can get an I/C from a mitsubishi starion or a volkswagen corrado and they are quite small and able to be tucked away pretty neatly.

lol, those are old *** pics. I remember that, i think it was a 4dr too.

If you want to "quiet" a BOV then recirculate it. That will knock out a good majority of the sound. But if your making real power a quiet bov isnt going to help you, you want a big BOV to get all that excess air out of there.
