Default Cleaning ITR Interior

I was planning on pulling the interior out of my car this weekend to clean out those places the vacuum doesn't reach with the seats in. I want to also clean the plastic and panels. I've used hot soapy water, simple green and a couple other things. I'm just wondering what everyone here uses to clean plastic's with, soapy water seems to work the best for me, but is there something better?

In my opinion nothing beats soapy water. I even use only a damp cloth on the windows inside and out, followed directly with a dry cloth. No window cleaner getting on your plastics or stinking up the inside.

You could also try one of those compressed air circuit board cleaners for very tight corners and thick paper (notecards are perfect) for areas where plastic panels meet, such as the carbon trim around the shifter. Getting junk out of places like that makes all the difference.

I also recommend Meguire's NXT generation plastic and trim treatment. If you apply it with a cloth wax pad it is easy to control. I use it on the dash, doors, and all hard black plastic. It makes the faux carbon look great. Follow it up with a damp cloth to get rid off the glossy look, and eveything is a nice satin rich black.

Key is to clean it well once and maintain it from there on... nothing worse than letting a messy interior build for 6 months

I just vacume my seats and use Armoral "Low Shine" for the dash, panels, and center console. It works well. I don't like the regular armoral that shines like crazy.

yes use water and ph balanced soap on platics and panels i even use this on leather seats....

if you need more cleaning power use an apc of choice diluted with water and never spray direct on panel, spray on your towel....

for carpets, seats, panels the best thing i used is Folex instant carpet cleaner(follow direction)

i suggest using a scotch guard protect on your chairs if there not leather if there leather use a leather protectant only.....

also an air compressor comes in handy if you have one...
