ctr pistons w/jun3's ???
anyone running this in their type r? Will there be any clearance problems with the cams if i use a 2 layer headgasket? Would i need the oversize one for my j-spec b18c engine. thanks
Not a definate but I have heard CTR plus jun 3's and stock valves and stock head gasket should be ok, no definates though. Timing etc can change things. Call Jun, they should be able to help.

You should be okay since the lift isnt that high. Just be weary of milling the head
as well as valve/piston clearances when adjusting cam gears.
Dunno JUN wise, but know a few people running Toda B's with CTR pistons and Spoon 2 layer head gasket without clearance problems. Like sgT said, watch clearance when changing cam gear settings.
ok..here is what i know.. mugen head gasket = stock take one layer off. spoons= stock take 2 layers off (sounds funny huh?). mugen valuve springs are almost same as stock itrs, they do have better matrial but spring rate are the same. My car is running jun type 3 and springs, but crown retainers with CTR pistons put down 200whp with 2 1/4" header not cat, if you go with 2.5 and no cat it should be able to get around 210 whp. correct me if i'm worng.
Ps--- Jun type 3 are TOO big for stock ITR, and they love high compression and no cat, they could always work with stocks but you cant get the power out.... trust me, i just got my car back today
