Default heater fan noise, weak heat

My heat hasn't ever really been as hot as i would have expected, but i've never done anything to anything heater related to my car so im assuming theres something i need to replace or something. Thats one problem, the heat does work, and it eventually will get warm, but it seems like its not as hot as it should be.

Another thing is that the fan is really loud, like its buzzing. I've never really realized it before, i've had this car for 5 years i think, but i started to notice thats its louder than it has been before when its turned on. On the dial, 1-3 are loud and buzzing like, and 4 its not as noticable. Are the fans and core supposed to be replaced every certain amount of miles or something changed?

My cars got about 117k on it, and shes never been in the shop for anything

The noise in the blower could be worn out bushings in the motor or something is stuck in the fan itself.
So far as the degree of heat, you should check underhood to be sure the heater valve is opening all the way.
Is the temp guage getting up to 1/2? A stuck open T-stat will cause poor heating as well.

i know i've never replaced the thermo. I was going to when my raditor cracked, but i never did. The cooling system is knew, except for one or 2 hoses.

As far as the noise, how can i check if something is stuck in there, it sounds like maybe theres leaves in there or something

Please tell me when you say your car has not been in the shop for anything you mean for problems and not for maintenance. Also, with 117k on your car, I would hope you changed your timing belt and water pump, because the heater will be the last of your worries if that belt snaps.

No, i do the maintance myself, why would i have to take it in? Timing belt and water pump are the only thing shes going in for, and shes going in soon, already made the appt.

speaking of blowers motors, mine does the same thing you mentioned for 2 years now and last week while i was going home turn the heat on no AIR!!!!!(10 degrees out) so i had to drive in the freezing cold. So if your blower motor stops spinning give it a smack (like pimps do to hoes) thats what i did to mine and it starts workin again for few days, but I'd get that fix though

The fan noise sounds like the blower motor is worn out and needs to be replaced.

i noticed today that it whirls faster when the engine revs. So im thinking either i need a new alternator or a new fan. The reason im saying alternator is because i have a system that keeps my voltage around 11.8-12.5 when driving
