I got this IC off a buddy and used it on my last setup. But I dont think it will be good for my 600whp goal this time. Im trying to sell it, but I have no idea the brand and no idea on a price.

Anyone have ANY idea a brand at all?

Here is the only decent picture I have of the intercooler at the time. Its hard to see, but the inlet and outlet are angled down slightly, and one is angled out a hair and one is angled back a hair.

 

 

Looks like a custom intercooler due to the end tanks, core looks nice though. What are the demensions? I looks like it was meant for a Evo 9, they have their end tanks slanting down.

And if you can see it there are indentations on the end tanks...you can see it in the pic with the tape measure on the left, on the back of the right side its the same. Also the fins go from a tight fit row, to bigger fins more spaced, then back to tight fit...etc etc etc

 

It looks just like the Apexi GT spec FMIC I had on my RX-7. Except mine was alot thicker.

No way in hell it's a Apexi intercooler, the core is not sized properly to the end tanks. Any company/fabber would have chosen the proper size, though this intercooler will work for atleast 500hp. Good find regardless, I still say it's a custom intercooler.

 

I got it for practically free. I traded my buddy a black 240sx dash out of a car i got for free...so regardless what it is I didn't pay for it.

The only reason I would like to know what it is to sell it, because Im looking for 600whp on race gas and 400whp on pump. And dont think this would be big enough for my goals.

hey swapped we meet again lol. how tall and how thick is the intercooler swapped? does look like its too small for your planned setup.

looks like its a 21x8x2.3 or 2.5 or something probly 450whp at most.

 

that's deffinetly an apex-i i/c....probably for an s13 or something.....how thick is the core? 2.5"?

The IC is 9'' high, and about 2 1/4 thick

Here's a pic of the Apexi' GT Spec I had on my FD. It looks the same.

 

Damn I must say, if that's really an Apexi intercooler, then I'd much rather have an ebay intercooler. The quality of an ebay intercooler looks a hell of a lot better, **** a company like spearco or precision look about 3 times more professional than this intercooler. But I would still use it if I got it for free and it fit my hp range........
