CB7 highway mpg?
So on the drive to and from Idaho to Colorado I get around 33-35mpg on the highway. That is driving at 80mph and some spirts up to 100. Is this about average for you 90-93 accord, actually I want to about you other owners too..
Bless yours hearts. hah.

MY 1993 Accord SE is rated at 20 city 28 highway. I do not know how you guys are seeing over 30? Mine is automatic, I have never seen over 26 and that is mostly highway, your driving is really never all highway. Did you guys calaculate from fill up to fill up sorry I am just really skeptical. As you would have to be getting 450 plus miles per tank

OMG thats exaclty what I was gonna say I get about 19-21 mpg city and im not sure about highway I think maybe 25-26, that doesnt make any sence thet you could be getting over 28mpg anytime. but people always say they are?
I get over 450 miles per tank easily in normal weather, typically filling up about 14 to 14.8 gallons per fill and going 450 miles on that amount of gas.
Oops, I drive a 96. Maybe there is a diff.

if ur talking about the '06
i recently filled up 6 gallons on pretty much an empty tank and ended up running it to death.. my bad. i ran out of gas at 209.9 miles but i prob drove on 7 gallons, mostly highway and mostly chill driving although i occasionally rip it/race/accel fast
but on average i'd say i get 29-32mpg city/highway
oh and i have the 4cyl coupe 5spd

the most I've ever pushed it, I got 457 to the tank. By that point it was pretty low. So its possiable but probably not the best idea. I hear that it to be perfect you want to alwasy stay between 3/4 and 1/4 of a tank of gas. They say this is because totally full its too much weight to drag around and too low your fuel pump has to be used cuz there is no pressure. I dont know how true it is, but its how road and track does their long term tests.
yea, i had an automatic, but it was a dx sedan so i dont konw if that makes it better or worse.
the people who really get above 28 are prob like 1990 coupe dx owners with the 5spd
i got like 424 out of a tank before i said hey i need some gas, dont know what that really is since no one can tell me how much gas is left when the light comes on

Exactly. Unless you are driving at like a constant 55-60mph and never go over of under that and never stop or anything for the entire trip how would you get 32+ mpg on an automatic 1993 SE. Not possible, it can"t be done. I got over 400 miles to the tank maybe once or twice since I have owned it
OR if you stop filling up your tank at the first click, then use that amount of gallons and divide that by your trip ie: trip says 400 you pump 10 gallons at first click, you stop. hence 40mpg
OR you keep filling until you can not put any more gas in there, you pump 13 gallons. trip still says 400 you pumped 13 gallons. hence 31mpg
So this can easily be misinterpreted.
