Default Need a quick simple favor from a fabricator

I bought a cheapo down pipe on ebay just to have something I could use to tune my motor and basically got ripped off. It was described as AC and PS compatible, but when I recieved it, this was clearly not the case. I have filed a dispute with PayPal and they just sent me an e-mail sayiing I have a couple of days to send them a letter from an 'expert' supporting my claim that it is not as described. I later found out the dp is a re-baged SSAC part (big surprise).

I need a letter on company letterhead saying the dp is not AC compatible so that I can fax it to them. I can send you photos of the dp on the motor so that you can see I am not making this up. It is not even close to being AC compatible, in fact it runs exactly through the center of the space where the compressor goes.

Anyway, can someone help me out? If one of you guys could e-mail a pdf of a letter on company letterhead, that would be great. Or you could fax it too me. I can even send you the content for you to look over and sign if you would like.

Thanks in advance.

Come on, guys - there is nothing shady about this. As you can see from the picture below, the dp goes right through the space where the compressor mounts. In spite of this obvious photo, PayPal needs an "expert" to tell them the same thing. All I am trying to do is get SSAC to refund my money because they lied and said this was AC & PS compatible.

Here is the dp mounted to my motor for a test fit:

Well, I can't help you with your request because I don't operate any type of shop, but you may also have to prove that you used the correct turbo manifold that the downpipe company intended to go with this downpipe. Otherwise, they will get out of refunding the money, saying that the manifold you used is to blame.

So your post contributes how?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">but you may also have to prove that you used the correct turbo manifold that the downpipe company intended to go with this downpipe. No. They stated it would work with any of the standard cast manifolds, which is what I am using. Also, if you actually looked at the photo you would see there is no way this dp will work with AC with any manifold that puts the turbo anywhere near the standard location. Lastly, the document I am requesting is EXACTLY what I need according to the PayPal arbitrator who is going to settle the dispute.

But hey, thanks for continuing the H-T tradition of useless posts......

Thanks! I tend to act like one when I meet one.

Got it taken care of - thanks to the several H-T members that helped instead of just posting up useless, bitchy crap.

I don't often confront morons, but you sir are ignorant and single minded. FUHSM1 was just pointing something out that you didn't mention you knew about.

I kinda hope nobody helps you out

"Single minded" means focused on one thing, which, in the context of this thread, I am. What you probably meant was 'simple minded', a mistake which is just, well, ignorant. If you are going to make a post calling someone a moron, you probably should avoid sounding like one yourself. Second, if you are attempting to refute my comment about the abundance of useless posts on H-T, adding to that count doesn't exactly support your point.

Upon re-reading my response to fuhsm1, I see it sounds harsher than I originally intended and I appologize for that. Your post, however, is just bitching.

Again, many thanks to the good souls that actually helped and those that did should hit me up for some free powder coating anytime it is convenient for you.

If you read the post immediately above yours (which was apparantly to much for you do before jumping into the name-calling) I appologized to fuhsm1. for you being a ******** and not bothering to read the thread before adding yet another useless post.

Im through with this thread - the brain-dead haters can keep adding pointless, poorly thought out drivel.

Where did you get the info that the downpipe is A/C friendly, it look like one of the 3 inch downpipe from ssautochrome on ebay.

I bought one of those too, excellent for the price and according to the picture posted. The fitment is good, if you buy it from ebay and it the 3 inch version, i dont think they listed as a A/C version.

I have one more poorly thought out, brain dead comment..

How are you going to come on here, ask for help after buying a cheap ***, POS pipe on ebay, then yell at some guy who was simply making a suggestion?

You are the one who sounds like a Brain Dead moron after your acrimonious outburst
