do your cams make power to 9k? If you put in cams(and put in itr springs), why didnt you change out the springs, and retiners to something that can handle 9k while you were there? nonetheless...i wouldnt just to be safe..

 

blox's type a cams are S1 samething as s2s1, they make more power then CTR cams, bought the cams brand new for 250 half the price of CTR cams, an i haven't start the build yet... but i was asking if ITR valve springs could handle 9k rev...

 

Isn't stock type r redline 8800 or 8900 rpm?

 

8400 i believe

 

well right now i have a chipped p28 vtec at 5-8500, when drag racing i sometimes take it to 8400-8500 rpm with no problem on stock gsr valvetrain, an i know ITR motor's rev to 8700 an 9000 easy.

 

unless u want your motor to blow...keep reving it that high...your putting too much pressure on that valvetrain and gsr's redline at 8100...go with portflow's inner valve springs and itr outer springs....well-known combo...9-9500k all day...

 

well i got PORTFLOW inner springs now soo 9k here i come LoL peace
