Valve floating ? How can it be diescribed and explained?

Valve floating ? How can it be described and explained?

I often heared "VALVE FLOATING". Can somebody give an exact and detailed explaination of that?

Its when the valve does not follow the shape of the cam lobe. Can be fixed with stronger springs to help keep it in contact with the cam lobes at all times.
