Default h22 turbo choice

I am piecing together a kit and have been torn between getting an SC44 or an SC61 for awhile now..I searched and found two threads that talked about it and I just want a bit more info.

I know that the SC44 will give a little bit better spool times but the SC61 will give a bit more top end power. I talked with tony palo about it and he said go with the sc61 cause it needs to breathe. I want to do some more research though.

My goal horsepower is only 300-330whp at 10psi.

What do you guys think?

The '61' has enough headroom for double the horsepower you intend to make. I used one on an H22 and really liked it. Later changed to a GT3076. Had some boost creep with the 61 and after trying a number of approaches finally changed to the GT3076. I'm sure the boost creep didnt relate to turbo type and was most likely leakage between the turbo and intake. The SC61 maintained a flat torque curve very well and 300whp came up at around 8-10 lbs. boost. With 2200cc displacement, the H22 spools nicely and drove well on the street. 400whp was available @ around 15 psi.
