did a lot of search and im seeing a lot of posts about skunk2 manifold just with basic bolt-ons and no valvetrain upgrade makes you lose power? well i got a friend whos selling itr valvetrain and i got a skunk2 manifold/p28 ecu sitting in my room and im deciding weather its worth putting the skunk2 manifold with p28 ecu only or wasting another $400 and buying the itr valvetrain just so the manifold works better for what its designed for. what do you guys think? obviously everyone is going to say buy ITR cams and put the skunk2 manifold on, but i also have to pay my credit card off.

how much hp would itr cams add on a gsr?

The way if was explained to me is....... You may lose alittle low end tq if you only have bolt ons but you will gain some on the top end!

There is not an amount set in stone to say how much youd gain on ITR cams over GSR..But with tuning the gain would be decent Ive seen anywhere from 5-15whp depending..Be patient, get the valvetrain upgrades then the manifold..

 

i was thinking of doing the same thing, putting hte manifold and a slightly bigger tb on before i upgrade the valvetrain. do you think i will gain anything if i do that. i am just running a chipped ecu with redline at 8500 and a spoon v-tec controller? thanks
