I have a 5th gen accord LX. Im looking to help it out. So far i have a Fadonza lightend flywheel, ACT stage 2 Clutch and hollowed out Cat, an AEM CAI, and the full suspention from tanabe. I want to keep it quiet when just cruising so no exhaust, i thought about putting either a cam in it or some headers, what do u guys reccomend ?

 

i would recommend both, but if it were me i would go with the cams

what's the point in the intake and hollowed out cat if you keep it all restricted at the exhaust...there are quiet exhausts out there for accords...if you open up the exhaust it'll probably help out your car a lot!

 

Gutting your cat will cause more exhaust disturbance, thus less hp, than just getting an aftermarket high flow unit.

 

yeah if you dont want the noise of the exhast you can get an attachment call a sliencer (SP) sometimes it will make it as quite as stock depedning onthe exhast. yeah and you do need Backpressure or you will lose HP and do engine damage.

You could get an Apexi mega banana-phone dunk exhaust and stick some boiled potatoes (sp?) in it.

 

Boiled potatoes are nasty dude. I suggust chapstick wads.

 

WTF? You'd need a lot of Chapsticks, while you'd only need a couple boiled potatoes (sp?).

 

what the *** is a jack shaft? Is that the same thing as an intermediate shaft?

 

I don't know about no jack shafts, but I do know jack ****.
