picking up ls block need to know!!!
ok i am prolly goona go look at a bare ls block and the ls crank i know to look for cracks on the block and pits in the cylinder walls anything else sombody could throw out there for me to look fopr also how can i tell if the crank isworth getting?? any info will help

Both good sugestions. Check those cylinder walls with a really bright light from different angles. Sometimes you can't see a problem without getting a shadow on it...
look for burn marks on the crankshaft, and grooves, those are a sign of either bad oil or really beating the engine to death... like 7k rpm for 10 minutes or something... Honda crankshafts are among the strongest cranks in the industry ! So it should be ok.
